I LOVE this brush.
I have thick, long, 2b and 2c hair, and I get regular cuts and blowouts at a local salon during which my stylist uses a non-vented brush to blow out and undulate my hair. The brush she uses has nylon pins and thick boar's hair bristles. Being a professional and having the advantage of working on someone else's hair, she does a fantastic job every time, despite the brush not being vented.
I have been on the search for a brush that would allow me to get similar results to those salon blowouts, never actually expecting to get as good results, but something close would be enough! Because I wanted to expedite the process, I wanted a vented brush so my hair would dry faster, especially since I wash it every Monday night after my cardio gym session. I wanna get to sleep before 11 pm! I tried a variety of vented brushes with and without the boar hair, in barrel shape, flat, oval, convex, and rectangular over the last two years.
The nylon-only brushes have the advantage of staying cleaner for longer and being easier to clean.
the combo brushes gave me smoother, shinier hair, but were difficult to clean and required a lot of sectioning to get the effect into all the layers of the hair, and they got gunky fast.
Additionally, other brush brands didn't last very long. Some would start to lose the metallic paints or waxy clear coats very quickly under the heat of the blow dryer, and of course they were being left behind IN MY HAIR.
Enter the Tamanna. WOW. I will…
