We accept exchanges within 30 days of delivery, or returns within 14 days. All hair and packaging must be in original condition with tags and ties intact. All hair purchased on seasonal sales including but not limited to Black Friday, Boxing day etc., is exchange or store credit only.

   

Styling Tools

We accept exchanges within 30 days of delivery, or returns within 14 days. All tools and packaging must be in original condition. Styling Kits and final sale listed items will be final sale.

How do I start my exchange or return?

First start by clicking here. Our new and easy returns portal will help you make this process so much faster.

You'll need the email address you ordered with OR your shipping Zip Code and your order number handy. Once you submit all your information about the exchange/return you will be given a return label and instuctions on how to send back your item(s). If you are outside the USA or Canada, you will be provided a return mailing address to send back your item(s).

What is your exchange/return policy?

For Hair

We accept free exchanges* within 30 days of delivery. Returns are also accepted within 14 days of delivery; a $9.95 return label fee and the initial shipping method fee will be deducted.. All hair and packaging must be in original condition with ties intact.

All hair purchased on seasonal sales including but not limited to Black Friday, Boxing day etc., is exchange or store credit only. Hair that is final sale will be clearly marked in the product description.

For Styling Tools

We accept free exchanges* within 30 days of delivery. Returns are also accepted within 14 days of delivery; a $9.95 return label fee and the initial shipping fee will be deducted. All tools and packaging must be in original condition. All tools purchased on seasonal sales including but not limited to Boxing day etc., is exchange only. Styling Kits, exclusive promotions and other sales may have special conditions indicated in the description. Styling kits are final sale (no returns or exchanges).

For Accessories

We do not accept returns or exchanges, all Accessories are Final Sale as indicated in the product description.

Shipping

All delivery and shipping fees are nonrefundable, including the return label fee for Returns. Bombay Hair does not reimburse for duties or taxes incurred by your home country. Any packages that were returned due to abandonment or returned to sender will be refunded with the deduction of incurred expenses; a minimum $25 return to sender fee is applied to these orders.

Orders within the USA or Canada will be provided a Return Label, we recommend using this label to send back your item(s).

If you prefer to use your own label, we recommend that all returned packages are sent back with a tracking number. If your order is sent back without a tracking number Bombay Hair is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages. Please be advised all packages must be shipped following the return instructions provided. Any returns shipped with customs/duties fees attached will be rejected and returned to the sender. Please ensure the package clearly states "return, no duties". All details provided once your return/exchange has been approved.

Items that ship with free delivery will have a minimum $10 deduction if returned for initial shipping costs.

International orders will be responsible for safely returning the item(s), a return label will not be provided. If exchanging for a new item, a handling fee of $35 or more, will apply.

Policy

Items that have exceeded the return/exchange listed time frame are final sale. Items that have been altered (toned, dyed, installed, ties or tags removed etc.) are final sale.

How to exchange my hair if the colour does not match?

  • For Clips: You will notice your hair will arrive in two separate hair nets. the smaller bundle is your test piece. You can take off the net and test this piece against your hair. Simply hold it against your hair to see it if matches.
  • Need help with a color match for an exchange? We recommend holding the hair you ordered against your hair for a concrete color match for exchange. CLICK HERE for a color match.
  •  
  • Do not remove the gold ties attached. All the hair, including the tester, but be returned back for exchange or refund.

  • For Tapes/Fusion: You can remove the sandwiches from the hair net. Do not remove the brown ties.

  • For Weave hair: You can gentle remove the weave from its package to test the color. Do not remove the zip tie.

Are exchanges free?

Yes! Styling Tools and Hair exchanges are FREE if within 30 days of the date of delivery, unused, and Hair hygienic ties are intact*. For Hair Extensions we recommend having one of your hair guru specialist color match you for a smooth exchange. CLICK HERE for a Color Match.

For return orders, you will be charged a return fee. Exchanges are shipped with standard ground shipping.

 

*free exchanges applicable to orders within USA and Canada only. Excludes Final Sale items that are indicated in the product description such as Styling Kits etc.

I ordered my item and received it later. When is the last day I can return or exchange my item?

You must submit your request for a return or exchange before the 14th / 30th day after delivery. For example if your order was delivered May 1st, you have until May 14th to submit a return. Or until May 31st to submit a exchange.

 

Orders past 14 days from the date of delivery are not accepted for returns, and orders past 30 days for an exchange.

What is unopened condition?

For Hair: This means the hair has never been used, and the security ties are intact fully. These ties can be gold, brown or zip ties. Hair that is received in opened condition is discarded. Do not remove/tamper with the zip ties/golden ties/brown ties if you may need to return. Due to hygienic reasons, As do not accept returns or exchanges on opened, retied or used hair extensions. If you send open hair back to us, it is subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee of the full value of the order or it will be returned back to you at addtional costs.

For Styling Tools: This means the box has never been opened and the tool has never been plugged in. All items must be in original condition with all items intact and original packaging. Tools that were usued, will be limited to an exchange only. Tools returned for a refund and found to be have opened or used are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee.

I sent back my order. When will I receive more information?

As soon as your exchange or return is received by our facility your return will be processed within 5 business days and receive an email stating the return was completed.

Once we have sent your refund back to your original payment method, it can take your financial institution up to 5 business days to process.  

 

For immediate exchange, recommend choosing "Instant Exchange" when filing your return.

I used a discount code for my purchase, can I return/exchange this?

For hair and styling tools bought with a promotional code or discount code you may exchange within 30 days or return within 14 days. For site wide sales or sales in which it is stated otherwise, we are happy to offer you an exchange only + shipping costs. Styling Kits, exclusive promotions and other sales may have special conditions indicated in the description.

I opened my hair. Can I return it?

If you have opened your ties on the hair extensions you cannot return the extensions. They are final sale once the ties have been removed/altered/tampered on any bundles of the hair. Hair extensions are a hygienic product and once ties have been altered at all they cannot be returned/exchanged.

Do I need to use the return manager? Can I send this back on my own?

All returns must be submitted through our return portal. Any returns received without notice through our return portal will be rejected.

Do I need to pay for my return?

Yes, for returns for refund, your refund will deduct a $9.95 label fee, if within the USA or Canada.

International orders are responsible for the shipping back your item with your courier of choice. The customer is responsible for the shipping cost. We suggest you purchase tracking information from your courier as Bombay Hair is not responsible for lost returns or exchanges.

What is a restocking fee?

In the event that open/damaged/missing items styling tools are returned to us they are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee that will be deducted from your return. In the event opened/damaged/missing hair extensions are returned to us they will be subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee. If your item shipped with no shipping fees but is returned a minimum $10.00 fee will be deducted.

What if I am returning from Canada or other International countries?

No problem, please use our return portal to submit your return or exchange.

What is your holiday season exchange/return policy?

*items purchased between November 16th to December 31st have an extended exchange policy as outlined below

January 15, 2022 is the last day we will accept holiday purchase hair extension exchanges. All hair and packaging must be in original condition with ties intact. All hair purchased on seasonal sales including but not limited to Black Friday, Boxing day etc., is exchange or store credit only. Hair that is final sale will be clearly marked in the product description. Hair that is returned open will be rejected and sent back to the customer or disposed of.

For Styling Tools

January 15, 2022 is the last day we will accept holiday purchase tools returns or exchanges. All tools and packaging must be in original condition. All tools purchased on seasonal sales including but not limited to Black Friday can be returned or exchanged.. Styling Kits are final sale (no returns or exchanges). Other exclusive promotions and sales may have special conditions indicated in the description.
