Styling Tools for Thin Hair

Excessive heat styling can cause damage and breakage, especially to thin hair, so taking precautions to minimize damage is important, such as ensuring you are using a heat protectant spray and selecting the correct heat setting.

Use a heat protectant spray, adjust the heat setting according to your hair type (390℉ or lower for thin hair, 390-420℉ for normal hair and up to 450℉ for thick hair), invest in high-quality tools, deep condition regularly, and avoid unnecessary pulling or tugging on your hair. Choose the lowest heat setting possible to minimize damage to your thin hair. Bombay Hair styling tools range from 170-450℉. We recommend 390℉ or less for thin hair, 390-420℉ for normal hair and up to 450℉ for thick hair.
