Hair Extension FAQs

Clip-ins are the easiest starting point. They attach at home with small pressure clips, wear during the day, and come out at night. No salon, no commitment. Halo extensions are another beginner option: a single clear wire blends under your hair in under a minute.
Halo extensions, Invisible Clip-Ins, and Thinning Hair Fill-Ins are built for fine and thinning hair. They use lightweight materials and flat attachment methods that won't stress fragile strands. If you want semi-permanent, tape-ins lie very flat against the scalp with minimal weight on the root.
Not always. Clip-ins, halo, invisible clip-ins, ponytail, and fill-ins are all DIY-friendly. No stylist needed. Tape-ins, wefts, K-tips, and I-tips require a professional stylist for installation and maintenance appointments.
K-tip and I-tip extensions last the longest, typically 3 to 5 months with maintenance every 6–8 weeks. Tape-ins and wefts are also long-wear options and the hair itself can be reused across multiple installs with proper care.
K-tip (keratin-tip) extensions are bonded using a heat tool that melts a keratin bond onto your natural hair. I-tip extensions use a small metal micro-bead clamped in place. No heat required. Both create a strand-by-strand look, but I-tips are better for clients who prefer to avoid heat near the root.
For clip-ins and halos, remove before showering so they don't get wet. They're easy to put back in. Bonded extensions like K-tips and I-tips can be washed with lukewarm water and gentle, sulphate-free shampoo. Tape-ins should avoid heavy conditioner near the bonds to maintain adhesion.
